Pedestrian counts

Pedestrian flows are a blind spot for many municipalities, while car flows and bicycle counts are often already understood. The new Quanta sensor from MultiSensors accurately maps pedestrians, cyclists, and mixed traffic. Thanks to its flexible design, the Quanta is easy to move and deploy autonomously with a solar panel, ideal for both busy and quiet locations.

Our sensor provides accurate data that perfectly matches pedestrian flow modeling. This makes it an indispensable tool for cities looking to optimize their infrastructure and better understand pedestrian flows. Moreover, the Quanta works without cameras and is fully AVG-proof, meaning you collect data without violating privacy.

Our technology

How do our pedestrian counters work?

MultiSensors ' Quanta sensor uses advanced LiDAR and Radar technology to provide accurate measurements of pedestrians, cyclists and mixed traffic without the use of cameras. This fully preserves the privacy of passersby, while still collecting detailed data on pedestrian flows and other road users.

Our technique works with over 95% accuracy, recording passersby in a specific area of interest (Area of Interest). This allows you to accurately measure how many people are passing, which direction they are walking and at what time. In addition, the Quanta sensor can also detect road users who do not belong on the sidewalk, such as cyclists or vehicles, providing valuable insights for infrastructure improvements. Pedestrian counts make it possible to analyze and respond to trends at both the macro and micro level.

With flexible installation options, including autonomous operation via solar panels, the Quanta sensor can be easily deployed in both busy and quiet locations, and is suitable for both temporary and permanent setups.

R

Fully AVG-proof

Our Quanta sensor works without cameras and does not record passersby, meaning you are fully compliant with AVG regulations. You collect detailed data without infringing on pedestrian privacy.

R

Flexibly Deployable

Thanks to its compact design and flexible installation, the Quanta sensor is easy to place and move, without major infrastructure modifications. This makes the system suitable for both temporary and permanent measurements. Pedestrian counts can therefore be carried out quickly and effectively, even in remote locations.

R

Autonomous Operation with Solar Panels

The Quanta sensor can operate completely autonomously in conjunction with solar panels, allowing the system to be deployed even in remote locations. In addition, multiple energy options are available, such as power via a mast or a battery. This versatility makes pedestrian counters even more accessible and widely applicable.

R

Real-time Insights in My Cycle Traffic

Our sensors are connected to the My Cycle Traffic platform, which provides real-time data insight. This gives you instant access to data on numbers, times, and categories of road users, which helps with quick and informed decisions.

Seamless integration

Our pedestrian counters are easy to integrate into virtually any infrastructure, whether temporary or permanent installations. The Quanta sensor can be mounted on existing light poles or traffic poles, meaning no major modifications are required. We also offer customized solutions for companies that want to use mobile poles or other specific structures.

The sensors are designed to be weatherproof, meaning they remain reliable in all conditions while requiring little maintenance. With flexible power options such as solar panels, power from a mast or battery, the Quanta sensor is suitable for a variety of locations and applications, from busy urban areas to remote locations. This makes pedestrian counters an efficient and sustainable solution.

Data Insight with My Cycle Traffic

My Cycle Traffic provides a user-friendly platform that gives you easy access to accurate and reliable pedestrian count data. The platform collects real-time data on numbers of passers-by, their direction and time of passing. This enables detailed insights into pedestrian flows, which is ideal as baseline data for modeling traffic flows and optimizing infrastructure.

With My Cycle Traffic, you can clearly analyze the data, discover trends, and create reports that help you make quick and informed decisions. The data collected can be easily exported in a variety of formats so it can be seamlessly integrated into other systems or reports. Pedestrian counts thus become a powerful tool for local governments and businesses alike.
